I have been living at The James in downtown San Jose for almost two years, and it has been a fantastic experience. Yes, we are on First Street downtown, so there is some noise. Personally, I love it. The energy of downtown is exactly what I am here for. Some people mention concerns about St. James Park, but having lived in San Francisco for a decade, this is mild by comparison. I have never felt unsafe. The management team is incredible. They are so warm, responsive, and efficient. Maintenance is very quick, and the amenities, like the pool and proximity to restaurants, bars and clubs, are top-notch. The walkability is unbeatable; I even lived here without a car for six months. I highly recommend The James if you love city living and a great team behind your home.

The James is a fantastic apartment complex! Anyone would be lucky to live here with such a caring staff and exceptional infrastructure! From gorgeous outdoor spaces with art to well maintained glamorous indoor spaces! Loved my time here and hope to return! The location is perfect as well, in a quiet part of downtown and across from the park! Can’t suggest the James enough!!

What can i say, its my beautiful home. A wonderful place in downtown san jose with all amenities, friendly staff. We conduct festivals and events in our community hall. We have a good pool and a great spa. The barbeque place is wonderful. It has great views. Very much accessible to the public transportation, vta trains and busses. The parking is spacious but expensive though. Iam glad i have spent 2 years in this lovely place.

I visit The James regularly and have always found it and its staff to be very clean, welcoming and respectful. I also appreciate their various security systems. There are so many things to do within walking distance. If the occaision arose, I would love to live there!
